The map continues to rely on site visitors like you, with new restaurants added every day. We check to confirm accuracy to the best of our ability, and rely on our community to help us identify restaurants that don't belong.
We include every woman-led restaurant, whether it’s a franchise location for a well-known chain or a small independent restaurant.
While some visitors are surprised to see fast food restaurants or other chain restaurants on the map, these restaurants can meet the requirements for the map. The key is to look at each location of the chain restaurant individually. Some locations of a chain are owned or co-owned by a franchisee who’s a woman. And some have a woman head chef. If a restaurant meets one of those requirements, it’s welcome on the RestaurantHER map.
